🛍️Business Rules
Business Rules are as follows
Businesses are granted to players based on their ability to foster roleplay and provide positive, engaging interactions within the city. They are not intended solely for personal or financial gain.
All potential business owners must submit a formal presentation style proposal for the business they wish to take ownership of. The real estate team will attend the presentation and vote on a decision once all interested applicants have had a chance to present.
Applications submitted after an announced deadline will not be accepted for potential ownership
You may only own, co-own or manage ONE business collectively. This means you cannot be involved in the leadership or operation of multiple businesses, even under different characters or through shared control with others. Attempting to bypass this rule through alts, or silent partnerships will result in removal from all businesses involved and potential disciplinary action.
Owners are expected to keep their businesses consistently active and open to the public. This means you are required to hire staff and manage scheduling to ensure regular operations.
If a business is foreclosed upon or released back to the real estate office the owner will NOT be allowed to apply for another business for 30 days. The owner will also NOT receive any compensation/refunds
Businesses cannot be sold or transferred to another party without direct staff approval. This policy ensures fair opportunities for all players and helps preserve unique experiences for the community.
Businesses will be considered forfeited after 7 consecutive days of inactivity from the owner. If you anticipate being unavailable, notify the Real Estate Team in advance to avoid penalties.
The interior of a business is considered a green zone when it is staffed and actively operating — employees should not be attacked, kidnapped, or harassed inside. Bringing personal conflicts into an active business setting is considered poor RP and harms the city environment. #MakeItMakeSense
Paycheck farming is not allowed. If you are not open for business or working at the establishment then clock off duty and into your unemployment. This not only hurts the economy but affects your reputation for players who show up expecting your doors to be unlocked because the phone app says you are open.
Businesses are require to host 1 event per month. These events can be simple (e.g., car meets, raffles, charity drives) or more elaborate — the goal is to contribute to the city's vibrancy and community engagement.
